That was fantastic. A thicker steak however would have been better to get more of a sear ;)

Do you have to flip or does it sear both sides at same time?

All I can say is WOW!!! I can't get over how well that pizza oven cooks up something that it wasn't even designed to cook.
P.S. Sorry you had to "suffer" through a prime cut of beef that wasn't dry aged! 8)

I went 1 1/2 minutes then flipped and another 1 1/2 minutes. It does sear both sides at the same time but differently. The top is kissed with infrared heat and flame while the bottom is making direct contact with high temp steel. Sort of the best of both worlds.
I think these steaks could have went about 20 seconds less however 8)

Cliff I am amazed how great this thing cooks a steak too!

Wow! Very impressive. My wife was very pleased with the results. Many high end steak places broil....basically the same thing.

With the heat created in this oven there is never any mess left in there. Any toppings that fall off a pizza are returned to their basic form.... Carbon ;)

I have been trying not to buy one of those units.. don't think I can hold off any longer. When my wife gives me hell I'm blaming you! Steaks look great!
