Title: My Brackets have tanked!
Post by: veryolddog on March 23, 2014, 09:56:42 AM
I am an avid college basketball fan and I enjoy season and March Madness. Like many folks, I went over to ESPN and filled out my brackets for both men and women teams. After the first two rounds of the men, it is a lost cause. I am not disappointed because it is really nice to see the lower seeds overcome the big name college conferences. I like to see this because the big college conferences that have the TV and the publicity that makes them special, the mid majors or smaller conferences upset the big boys. I think that this shows that there is more parity in the nation than we think along with the fact that there are some really talented players and coaches that bring their schools to upset victories. Take in mind the Mercer upset of Duke and the play of Dayton. Really great to see.

Hope that you guys are enjoying the same.

I am always a fan of the under-dog. It is good to see the "other" schools - the ones that most sports fans over look, or have never heard of.

There is so much more talent than what the is reflected int eh brackets.

I still have 6 of my Eilite 8 and all of my final 4, so I guess I am still in it.

I live in St. Louis, the place is pack from this.  One of the bars I like to frequent has postponed the clam and oyster festival do to this.  I cant believe how well SLU is doing this year.
