Talk about Irony
« Reply #-1 on: August 30, 2014, 12:58:27 PM »
Most of y'all know I work for a Honda/Acura dealer and been there a LONG time.

For the most part not a bad living until one day...........

Tommy can you talk to this guy in the breeze way about the hands free link in his van, sure I said I get up to
the lane to find this guy (all 5'2'' of him)  speaks fluent  Japanese and very little English (or American as we say)

So I get in the van and ask "What seems to be the issue?" He goes on about how the voice activated  system
does not except commands from him.  So I hit the button and say "set up" which in turn the voice says "what would you like
to set up?"  I turned to him and said it's seems to be working, He turns to me and in broken English says it's
not working for me, so must be something wrong with the vans Bluetooth.

I tried again and without any problem the van answered me back, he tries again and nothing but confusion from the hands
 free link.

Now I ask you, shouldn't a Japanese van understand a Japanese person ;)

Just say'n  ;) :)

Tommy I'm just thinking that you have a knack for anything you attack. Be it pork butts, or hands-free link! Heck give the guy a pep talk and he'll be here smokin' with the best of us!  ;D

Be thankful, these dang cars are getting to smart if you ask me.   Not to say I'm old and set in my ways, but really do you need a car that can do things such as unlock doors, set the alarm, start the engine or open windows from you I Phone?

Let me give y'all a heads up, there are people out there as we sit here on the forum that are working hard to break into your cars ECU.  They can get a lot of info you never thought of from your car, especially if you have On-Star.

911 centers all over the nation are being hit everyday from hackers and if they can get into your cars computer they can use On-Star (weather it's active or not ) to know where you are and if they can break into your home while your gone.

Just be careful on what info you down load into your cars phone bank  ??? ???
