RAD, that looks great. I bet it tasted delicious.

Good news with crockpot finish - juicy product and lots of drippings.

Bad news with crockpot finish - not much crispness to the bark.

The solution in my world - Smoke two and finish one in crockpot, one in oven, and mix the product when pulling.


There is always at least one turtle with good common sense and wise advice.

Good lookin' plate, RAD.  Don't mind if I do . . . .

They have taken on all the smoke they can handle and why waste charcoal. In the oven the go for the home stretch  8) 8)

Because it's fun burning charcoal and I buy kingsford 500 lbs at a time.  You do too smoke.

Speaking of which, isn't it about time for Home Depot to put it on sale again - or did I miss the last one????
