That's what I have Smoke, I remember once when the kids came down, They were both on their smart phones and the grandson was on my PC. After being quiet for a period I said to the wife, " Hon go get your phone I'd like to talk to the kids!" Don

I always had a flip phone and refused to get a Smart Phone, as I too detest everyone who have their face in it 24/7.  I think that in some ways the use of this phone will somehow effect our future society.  My kids continually made fun of me, so I finally got one.  I wanted to use it for the navigation feature when I have to drive to unknown places which is often.  I still refuse to have it in my face all the time.  When I get home, I use the PC to get messages and do some searches.  I am satisfied with the Smart Phone, but will not abuse its use.

I travel a lot for my business and also deal with clients via email. So, I do like the email on my phone vs. getting my laptop out and firing it up. I HATE texting, and rarely use any of the other features / apps. My kids say I am a curmudgeon - but I like phones to basically be phones. I have to admit I kinda miss the old days, when I was in my car in the middle of the Dakotas, you couldn't find me...

If I could only have a phone that was not smarter than I, it would have to be two tin cans and a piece of string.

I think we are raising the most informed, ignorant generation ever.  They know noting about something and everything about nothing.

When you see four people at a table in a restaurant and all four are looking down at their phones and never talking to each other.

One good thing I will say about the young kids and smart phones: It would be so much easier to punish one today because all you'd have to do is take away their phone.
