"Dance with the one who brung you" is a saying most of us have all heard. It means to stick with the thing that made you successful in whatever endeavor you are pursuing.
Too many times people become successful in a business or some other endeavor and then begin to think that now they are successful they now need to do something differently.
I've seen some businesses and other things reach a level of success and then lose their focus on what they were doing to become successful. This resulted in failure.
Most often this happens because they didn't write down their plan and goals and keep a log on their progression toward success.
This can also relate to us as outdoor cookers. If we keep a log of our cooks and write down what we did, what worked well, what didn't work as plan, and what we think we should do to improve the cook next time we can continue to produce high quality cooks and also improve.
Now, most of y'all may have photographic minds and can remember everything about every cook and don't need a log; however, some like your's truly does have a photographic mind that the Lord got distracted in the assembly process and forgot to load the fill. You couple that with CRS disease (Can't Remember Stuff--or something like that) and not all of our cooks are not up to the standards we desire.
So,don't forget to "Dance with the one who brung you."
