Wall coming through Wapakoneta
« Reply #-1 on: August 31, 2015, 11:07:34 PM »
A replica traveling Viet Nam Wall is coming through Wapakoneta Wednesday at 6:30. It will pass just 3 short blocks from my house. It is being escorted from the VFW Post through town and down to Sidney, Ohio to be put up for display. They are expecting 8,000 to 10,000 motorcycles to escort it. I got to see this!

I always wanted to go to Washington DC to see the real thing but never made it. If I want to see this one I will have to go to Sidney. It will pass here loaded in a large semi-trailer. Don
Traeger 07E pellet smoker

I am not aging, just marinating
I think I am starting to age!

They displayed that wall here in my hometown (Barberton) a few years ago.  If you get a chance, go see it Don.

I would love to go to DC and see the wall and try and find the names of some of my friends that are on it.

SD, take your camera for pictures of that motorcycle escort. That would be a sight to see. Hope that you make it down to Sidney to see it displayed. It is quite an impressive monument in DC.
