River came up a good 15 + feet the other day

Having it here too... about 8" of rain during the last 3 or so days. I have never seen eh river at the base of our mountain this high. The parking lot where the boat ramp is - has a split rail fence around part of it. You can barely see the top of the fence posts - so...that is 5 feet above the bank of the river.

Put a wrinkle or 6 in my cooking this week.....

I take it Santa forgot your water wings for Christmas. 

We went over to the NC coast today for a Christmas dinner for my DIL's grandmother.  77 degrees and a rain storm. Wished I had packed my shorts.

Tomorrow we fire up the Weber Kettle and cook a 7 pound/4 bone roast beast (aka, rib roast).  Looking forward forward to that meal.
