Looks like the polar vortex is here in Ohio again! Yesterday was 50 deg. and nice out. I woke up this morning and the wind was howling. I looked out back and it was blowing snow. It snowed and blowed until noon; the snow stopped but was windy all day. I was glad we only got about 2 inches. It is now about 7 PM and 18 deg. out; looks like it will not get above 20 until Friday. It’s going to be a cold week!

It looks like all from the Midwest to the east coast will be in the freezer for the week. I hope no one loses power.

I am glad I had a ham bone thawed and made beans today; they taste good on a cold wintery night! I don’t think I will be cooking out this week!

We have been cold since Christmas with a good snow last week......but  8 degrees.......that is just wrong.........and cold...........

The snow is pretty, but I despise cold weather.  I am miserable when it gets slightly cold.

Yep, lifetime living here in Ohio and so I was confident "winter is coming" rang true which is why I smoked brisket on Saturday. By Sunday, my outdoor cook area was inhospitable.

  It even dropped to 29 here last night... I think TMB way up in North Alabama might have made it down to 19.. That's too cold for my liking.
At least its cold enough to sit in a deer stand without sweating now.
 The does were in my back yard by dark last night looking at me because the corn wasn't out yet. I have to put corn out when its cold to keep them from bending up the  fence wire trying to get to food.  They are rather demanding these days...
 For all of you with those - numbers, hang in there..
