Ken I do not know the name of the drug. But you are awake, as they can ask you questions or ask you to move. But you may as well be conked out because what it does is take away total-recall of anything that happens while you are under the influence. When I awake or really when I start becoming aware there is total euphoria. It's the perfect drug for a what used to be uncomfortable proceedure.

Sounds better than what I had, as long as my wife is not in the room to hear anything I might say. And y'all don't even want to hear the story of my barium enema.

My dad lost half his colon, his younger brother (who ignored my dad's advice to get checked) died from a blood clot after colon cancer surgery.  Being that this is one of the slowest moving and preventable cancers, I made a decision.  So, when I turned 40, I had my first one done.

I think on my last one (my fifth?) they used Propofol, the same stuff the killed Michael Jackson!

Glad it all worked out Terry, I have about a year 1/2 to avoid but will probably ask to do it at 49 if insurance will cover it.

good idea Ray, my insurance said 50 but if there is any family history they may do it sooner.they are also covering DNA testing if there is family history now.
