My Wife Loves Me, but I need some Savor Spice help
« Reply #-1 on: April 27, 2016, 09:54:57 PM »
My wife entered me in a rib cook off with friends of ours. I was not involved in this discussion as I am away at work. For my wife even to bring this up must say something that my smoking is at least improving to a feed company level.

To take this rib cook off to another level I am looking for some help on how to prepare my ribs and which Savor Spice.

I have plenty of time to plan so I am looking at Pig Shots and Russian Beluga Vodka to start, moving on to Ribs, Mac & Cheese, and any other ideas that you all come up with.

Thanks,
CDN

Do a 50/50 mix of Bad Byron's Butt rub and Super Pig that way you get a lota heat and sweet.   Kimmie loves the mix

If you want to stick with just the Savor Spices, I agree with Smoke.

Go with Fine Swine & Bovine  (a.k.a BBQ Savor).

I also agree with Fine Swine and Bovine.

And if you really want to blow them away divide one of the rack up when they are almost done and wrap each rib in thin cut bacon seasoned with Super Pig. Then finish in the oven under the broiler to crisp up the bacon...

I was all set to agree FS&B is the way to go... but then muebe kicked it up several notches - this sounds great, trying it next time!
