Someone just came on and said there was no sign of mama bear.......which can be dangerous for all if she is lurking and watchingand especially sad for the cub if she met her demise.....

I remember being in school and they would tell us......

 Bell sounds three time means fire,
 if bell sounds four times means tornado's
 if the bell sounded five times there were cows on the campus

No actually bear meat has a sweetish taste and it is really good!

What I have heard from the locals up here is if you take a bear down you better be sure your life was in danger............The thing about bears is that they are just looking for any type of food to eat.......

what is scary is that we are starting to get mountain lion sightings since the snow has let up....they are bad news...........
