How are you doing with the Sand Fire Muebe?

The Sand fire is now moving towards Acton (high desert cowboy country) and they are starting evacuations. For those of you not familiar with So-Cal. The Sand fire is burning out of control. 22,000 acres in just two days. Lots of fuel. No humidity. 100 degree temps. The perfect storm  :(  It is in the northern part of So-Cal north east of the San Fernando Valley in the Antelope Valley. Desert type terrain with tons of brush.  Dry brush.............Major housing boom there in the 90's. Tons of master planned neighborhoods......more fuel....18 homes lost so far and over 1500 residences evacuated with much more to come  :(

We can see and smell the smoke up here in the San Bernardino mountains.....and we are 80 miles to the east..

How are you Mike. I know you are in Canyon Country. You OK???????????????

Just announced that the fire doubled today and could be up to 50,000 acres now........

Yeah I am doing ok. So far Saugus has not been affected(where I live). There are others that are in danger. It is just on the other side of the hill from me. The smoke and ash has been really bad.

This fire is huge. There is a picture on Facebook floating around that shows the view from a NASA satellite and it is unbelievable how much has burned :(

Everyone please pray for the people who are being affected by this tragedy...

Glad to hear you are OK. This is a real bad fire. Might be one of the biggest in So-Cal when it is all said and done.

Fires suck in California.  We had they big king fire last year or the year before.  Stay safe my southern Cali buddies.

Back atcha in Northern Cali Sparky.

Scary part is, it is not actually fire season yet in California  :(
