Weinee Roast
« Reply #-1 on: October 30, 2016, 09:34:26 AM »

Last evening it felt like a good time to light the fire pit and have a lil weinee roast. Yes, it could have been cooler and I usually do this on Halloween night but I felt like doing it last night and I just might do it again Monday night. So I got the fire going in the fire pit with wood on one half and charcoal briquettes on the other half. That way we roast them g and slower over the charcoal.

Getting the fire going just as it was getting dark.

Nice and hot charcoal and burning wood.

Weinees roasting over the fire. Hot dogs are always better cooked over an open fire!

No pictures and I wasn't prepared for doing smores but we did roast marshmallows and my granddaughter loved them.

And you're right, best tastin' dogs!

Yeah, baked beans would've been great too. I kinda just threw this together at a moments notice even though I wanted to do it this weekend. I'll have to keep that in mind for next time.
