From my new member Into
"I am a SC Native living in Eastern NC for the past 22 years.  My parents and Uncle had houses on Lake Murry SC that we sent summers at.  My father had a PK Grill starting in 1960.  I have owned mostly Gas grills and Now have a TEC Gas grill.

Wanted to get back to real Grilling and thought about a Ceramic egg type grill, but as I researched them, I realized I really wanted something for indirect/slow cooking to complement the gas grill.

Just ordered a new PK Grill because Father knew best."

My son and I decided to give it a try this weekend.  He has never cooked on charcoal.  Tried Reverse Sear for the first time ever.  Thank You - tomcrete1/Tom Horsman

Started at about 400 degrees After 30 minutes of cooking

After about 50 more minutes

We opened the grill after another 30 Minutes - two Hours total

Moved to My Tec Grill to do the sear, because the Tempature on the PK was low - Lesson learned, I need to manage the coals better.

End Result after 2 and 1/2 hours including Rest time of 10 minutes before searing and 15 minutes before plating.

Nice job! And tasty looking!
I guess grilling is like riding a bike,  after 25 years you weren't afraid to get rolling again!

Actually, I learned a lot from this site and videos.

I did run out of heat and went to Tec for searing.  Next time I will add charcoal along the way.

Any Tips would be appreciated.
