OK, OK...   :D

The big box is a 2017 MAK 1 Star and pretty much all the accessories;  new style Griddle & Searing Grate, Full Upper Rack, Blank Grease Pan.

The second box is the new style FlameZone.

A full review of the stock MAK 1 Star as well as the new FlameZone with be forthcoming... 

I will also post some more pics as I get them.

Curious...with the extra cost of the add-on's to the 1 Star, what keeps you from springing for the 2 Star?

You gonna hang onto your 2014 1 Star? Having 2 would be nice for cooking different things at different temps! Or just cooking for the masses.

1) I don't need the cold smoker box, which also makes it harder to transport, which I need to do a few times per year.

2)  Don't forget, except for the FlameZone ($375), the other add-ons I got would also have been add-ons for the 2 Star.


The 2014 1 Star is already sold and will soon be heading south to Columbus to another forum member.  I still have the Weber Peformer/Stoven pellet grill combo for when I need a second grill/smoker.

Hey, I'm hurrying as slowly as I can!   :P  The weather is NOT conducive to unpacking & assembling right now.  It was actually snowing and breezy this morning, so the whole crate is covered in a tarp right now to protect from the weather.

Happy Birthday.  I hope you enjoy your new MAK 1 Star.  You, and the other MAK owners on this forum, convinced me to purchase a MAK when I was looking to upgrade. 

I look forward to your in-depth review of the new Flame Zone as I am debating if I should upgrade my 2 Star.

Invention of transporter is proceeding.  I am waiting for the device and I may have to finish the transporter to expedite the arrival.
