Well, I Finley got to a real computer to write what went on during Sparky's visit.
I put the ribs on around 10 AM so we could eat early because Sparky and Margret had to leave for the airport at 3 AM
They arrived at the Bomm-a-Rosa around 12:30 Sparky says "HI" then heads straight to the hangover to check out my set up and grills! Margret and Kimmie went inside where it was much cooler, temp was around 95+ and HIGH humidity
which made it feel a lot hotter than it was. Sparky and I sat out under the hangover shot the poop and had a few beers
(which normally I don't do) but hey Sparky is in town so what the heck!
One of the things he kept saying was how quite it was (well except for the crop duster that flew over) But really he could not believe how quite the Bomm-a-Rosa was during that time of day even with cars going by all the time.
He also said the hangover was bigger than it looked on the forum and he really liked the set up and seemed to like the Rec-Tec and SRG set up
I didn't get any pictures except those in the start of the thread because I was to busy making sure Sparky and Margret had what they needed to feel at home.
NOW, feeding ribs to Sparky is like trying to show Arnold Palmer how to putt
You just do our best and take what advice he offers and boy he taught me a lot! Was very good ant ex-planning what to look for and how to judge ribs for tenderness and when to pull them. I got a great education in a short time and will always remember what he said.
I hope and pray they move to Huntsville because it would be a ball to have them in town
Thanks Sparky and Margret for a great weekend at the Bomm-a-Rosa
