Vic's Special in Raceland Louisiana
« Reply #-1 on: January 23, 2021, 08:11:20 AM »

I mentioned in a post last week a burger I had for lunch. This past Thursday the office bought lunch for everyone at work and it was from this little place called Vic's. It's really not a big place but they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I just drove past it yesterday afternoon on the way home. Since I'm not familiar with this area down the bayou I decided to take a little ride in the other direction from which I usually drive to work and this place is right  alongside Bayou Lafourche.

Anyway, I had planned to order a Vic's Special for lunch yesterday but since the office was buying lunch I got it on Thursday with a side of Cajun Fries(spicy seasoned fries).
The Vic's Special is a burger dressed however you want it, I had mine with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, cheese, mayo and mustard, and it has delicious tender sliced roast beef on it as well. Then they put this delicious, rich roast beef gravy in a deep styrofoam container(for to-go orders)and place the burger in the gravy. This is not your typical burger that you pick up and eat with your hands. This is a knife and fork eaten meal. It's soooooo....... good.

With the crazy Covid restrictions we aren't allowed to congregate in the lunch room so we eat in the lab in a separate area from away work and anyone that comes in smells this burger and comments about how it smells sooo..... good. Lol.......... Yesterday I brought s couple of pulled pork(I made previously and Foodsavered)sandwiches on sesame seed buns that drove people crazy again. Lol.......

So here's a picture I took after I started to eat and doesn't do the sandwich meal justice.
