Lasagna

My daughter wanted lasagna, sounded good to me! I made the sauce and the pasta from scratch. It takes a while but it's worth it every once in a while.

Sauce after simmering for 2 hours

Pasta sheets drying

3 pieces missing

I didn't get a plated pic, everybody inhaled it before I could snap a pic!

My daughter ate a 2nd piece and I foodsavered the remaining. 3 went to my MIL today (she's been real sick, diagnosed with stage 4 cancer so I've been cooking a lot lately for her), 2 are going to a customer of mine and the last 3 are for my daughter for when the mood strikes her.

I know I've said it many times over but I love the idea of cooking once and having many meals from it. It just makes sense to me to make it count when you DO cook.
A revolving door of cookers and smokers. Some are keepers, some are here today, gone tomorrow!
