Postings Drop-Off

It appears to me that the post count has been steadily reducing.  It seems that LTBBQ is becoming less interesting because the members are becoming less interested.

2 little ones and no free time with work being busy for the last 2 years (food manufacturing).  I didn't even have time to plant my garden this year, and with sky rocketing food prices we could have really saved some coin.  I do miss seeing all the food I wasn't able to make and eat

I issue has been life.   When I took a new job back in 2017 I figured all would be better but turned out to be a hassle to a point.   So I left that job seeking something closer to home and thankfully I found it BUT it does take a lot of time out of my day and no free time at a computer for posting.

But for now I will be posting a lot more in the healthy section of recipes with low to no sodium ideas

Are you thinking that the posts have dropped off because it’s for sale?

I have no idea why posts are dropping off.  I hope there is a way to archive things before anything happens. Unlike the CB site, when it went down...There was a lot of great info lost in that transition. That is where I started with my BBQ life, and I met so many good friends that I keep in contact with. I had so much fun at all the gatherings in Augusta.
I am #3 on the joining list.  Tommy led me here and I still check in almost daily except when I'm camping.
There are still people that I would like to meet.

Same here.  Of course, I'm, at least, partially to blame since I don't post much anymore.  But in my case, it's because I haven't been cooking that much.  Started a couple of years ago when my partner (Lou Ann) got cancer, then passed.  Now I'm in an RV full time and since my neighbor already had a Weber and smoker set up, I just cook throw stuff on there when he's cooking.

I really miss those days of yore, too.  I cook pretty much the same 3 or 4 things and didn't want to keep posting about them.  Besides that, I never could figger how to post a picture small enuff for this site.
Plus the fact that I just got out of the habit of posting stuff during the covid and I never reset.

That pretty much describes me, too (although if you count recipes other than BBQ, my total may be up to 5 or 6).

I am like Jaxon, I cook the same things that I always have, not much to share. I don't even grill or smoke much anymore honestly. I have 2 butts and a brisket in the freezer that I need to smoke someday, I keep forgetting about them!

For me, covid kind of threw me off from things I used to do. I used to have get togethers with family and friends and would cook up a bunch of stuff but that all changed and I just haven't got back into it.
A revolving door of cookers and smokers. Some are keepers, some are here today, gone tomorrow!

I have been here going on 11-12 years and you can only post so many of the same cooks.

Many of us older veterans of LTBBQ are no longer posting

Some have left us for the great cookout in the sky:

Phil
2 pockets
D Holly
Smokin Don

These 4 were very active members    in fact I believe Smokin Don is still our leader in topics started.

It is all very sad. I was Tims first moderator and I was so honored by his gesture.

Moderating this forum was super easy thanks to all of you.

I feel very fortunate to have been a part of this forum.

Y'all put up with me and Smoochy for all these years............

Just wonderin how it is going to turn out
