My grill cover for my 8 y/o gas grill got shredded by a hail storm.
I just ordered another cover from amazon ( the one recommended by Ka-Hona)
It's not cheap so I must expect the gasser to last 3-4 more years ::)

L A, I remember that grill cover topic a couple of years back on another forum.  They had that cover on sale and I had some Amazon credits - also free shipping.

My out-of -pocket was around $18 if I remember correctly.

I'm still using it on the Q 4.  It fits like a glove.

A good cover more than pays for itself in the long run.

You will just have to base your next grill purchase decision on whether that cover will fit it or not.

What is an optimist? When my Dad was 85 or 86, and before I had to move him into a facility, I went out to visit him one day and found him up on the roof (with his walker parked at the base of the ladder) repairing some damaged shingles. When he got down and my heart rate got back to normal, he looked at me and said "I am going to get me one of them new metal roofs that last 50 years, I am tired of having to put a new shingle roof on every 20-25 years". That is an optimist.

We had some nasty winds here in North Texas over the weekend, and thankfully everything is OK.  Nothing even tipped over somehow.

I too have a older Vermont Castings.  Other than the lighter (which I fixed last year and is out again) she's operating like new, not slowing down at all.
