Looks like you are about to make Fine Swine and Bovine sausage? I see you have Generation 1 of that product Rick. It may be clumped due to moisture adsorption. Will not affect flavor, but you may need to break it up....We have since begun using an all natural anti-caking agent, just in case you like the flavor - and want more ;D

Lookin' forward to the results on this one for sure!

T, I have had good luck putting clumped bottles of rubs in the microwave and getting them dried out, not sure how your bottle would fare though.

Good idea Ken! I would go easy to start with....just so you don't melt the bottle. But on the next genration, we have solved this issue.

Hey Rick -

Have you used the add on piecs for you hydraulic stuffer that allows you to push out jerky strips or meat sticks...? They also make one that fits on the grinders.

Any good?

No problem Rick!

Do you like the  meat stick/jerky add on's for the stuffer or grinder...Or do you prefer the caulk gun type?

Thanks,
T

So the shorty stick  nozzle that comes with the gun aint cutting it for casings.

Went to BPS and bought a #12 grinder stuffing horn.

#12 (left)  tube that came with gun on (right)

I have to trim the flange on the #12 to the same siz as the original in order for it to fit in the ring. So i used my SS tube and LooftLighter to soften up the original so the 12 can slide into it and i can use the flange on the original for a template.

Sorry i didnt photo the trimming process.

Anyways here is the #12 on the gun.

Now the stuffing.

Ready for smoking.

Ya know i have done allot of processing of different type of meat and game. I swear this store bought sausage is cut with chicken?

So if your on a limited toy budget this is well worth the $14.99

$12.99 is cheap! I will look for that on line Rick! Looking forward to see how the sausage comes out.
Thanks,
