You should never excessively drink & drive, but this holiday has more roadblocks & DUI's written than any other!

State troopers here in Alabama are planning a big crackdown. We go out every Thursday night to a local pub for Date Night and to meet some friends, we will be staying home this Thursday I guess. Plus it is going to be storming.

Times sure have changed.  Reading this tread brought back some memories of times gone by.  Back in the 50's and 60's growing up in a small country town to see people drinking beer and driving was not uncommon.  As a kid I would ask my Dad how far do we have to go and I would get the answer it is 2 beers down the road or we gotta 6 pack to go.  I am not advocating drinking and driving as it is a killer.  I was just brought back in time for a few minutes to remember the great times I had with my Dad.  I sure do miss him.

Enough ain't enough and too much is just about right.

Great post LA. I just saw a video on TV where they took some Safe and Sane sparklers.....you know....the ones that kids run wild with....unsupervised in most cases................they took lit sparklers and submerged them in large containers of water.......and they still kept burning!!!!!! ??? ???

Lets all be careful with our adult beverages, at the pit, and lets make sure all the sprouts out there can count to ten and see out of both eyes tomorrow morning...................

When my older brother was 2 years old my father decided it was a good idea to let him hold a lit sparkler. Well while my father was bent down to light a fountain he had some plumber's crack going on. My brother thinking swiftly thought that would be the perfect place to store his lit sparkler.

My father never let us hold a lit sparkler again...

Mike, you don't think this TendaRub thing is somehow connected  to illegal and unsavory activity, do you?
