The top of the food chain has higher levels of heavy metals.
Eat in moderation , an occasional tuna steak is OK , just don't live on a tuna diet!

Interesting! We eat a lot of fish, so this gives good information. We do a lot of grouper, snapper, and salmon.

Here is an excellent site if you are interested in finding the "right" fish and avoiding the "bad" ones...

You can't catch a fish if you don't get a line wet...

Another one that should be on that list is Talapia IF you have any kind of health issue where you need to avoid inflammation such as: heart condition, high blood pressure, arthritis/joint discomfort.

Talapia is very high in Omega 6 which causes inflammation.

Well I don't eat a lot of fish. I guess it is all in moderation. I love Chilean Sea Bass and will not avoid that fish!

we eat a lot of fish because we grew up in Houston and on the Gulf coast
both my family & Debbie's had beach houses
we grew up fishing for trout, reds, & flounder in the bays and in the surf
crabbing, flounder gigging, etc..
and our seafood markets have fresh Gulf shrimp and oysters

the #1 seafood dish on the Texas coast is baked, stuffed whole flounder stuffed with lump crab meat :)

it's all on where you grow up
BINGO! YES!  and  not talking about Red L@bster either :)

Thanks for the info.
Nothing beats being knowledgeable, especially on health issues.

I prefer a belly full of Lake Michigan perch.
But they, I'm sure, are becoming more contaminated as time goes on.

Great info... I'm not a big fis eater. Fresh lake Erie perch is hard to die for though!

Salmon, halibut, lingcod, albacore for me. Along with the occasional cutty or rainbow trout.
