Dry Cure Fridge
« Reply #-1 on: February 14, 2012, 02:30:51 PM »
Got the cure fridge 95% operational. Need to wait on a new temp controller for the lights.

Have a noise in the lower end, Called the company and a tech said its a rattle from a missing mounting shim? If anyone knows other please chime in. So far the controller is working good.

Lookin' good, Rick.  Is there a way to put a shim in that lower end to reduce the noise?  I can't wait to see it in person.

Shim for the motor?  Hard to tell where the noise was on the video.  But the fridge looks great!

Rick, the timing for your threads on this couldn't be better.  Ironically, at the wife's request, I recently picked up a used refrigerator for doing my cold curing. She wants her refrigerator space back!  ::)

I've been reading about this some on the SausageMaker.com and was considering a similar mod, although I don't intend to do any dry curing of salami, etc. anytime soon. I think I'll wait 'till I can see yours in action.
