Tatonka Dust
« Reply #-1 on: August 18, 2013, 02:58:43 PM »
I asked a question on here a while back. What is this Tatonka dust yall are talking about? Now I know! I have used it on steak (a lot) and LOVE the results we get. We will be using it at the rest of our competitions in 2013! It does the one main thing it takes to win a steak comp. It does NOT cover up the flavor of the beef!!!! It turns out a really nice dark "crust" on the steak and shows the grill marks just right. A steak seasoning that COMPLIMENTS the taste and flavor of a good steak is the key thing here. Thanks to Tanya and Marty Owens of Owens BBQ for such a great product.

Tanya gave me some to try before they went into production. It is some great stuff. Kinda of like gunpowder rub but different. Very good with beef!
