God bless the families affected by this tragedy. I know a few that didn't come home that day.

Shortly after 9/11/01 you couldn't buy a flag anywhere because they were all sold out.  But, you could borrow one.  A friend and I were driving from Little Rock to Atlanta in a car Hertz gave us at no charge to return there.  The airlines were grounded.  We had a Ray Charles' CD in the player and it had just finished his gorgeous version of "America" as we came over the top of a hill and under a bridge where a grizzled old gentleman was avidly waving a big American flag he'd likely borrowed from a school or his church.  People were waving and horns were honking and headlights flashing.  Do you remember those days?  God, bless America.

I'm sorry, I don't know what a USPS cover is.  Is it US Postal Service?  But I don't understand the "cover" part.

Agreed Hub!  We as a country most definitely did "forget" far too quickly.

We have a statue of that moment.

I went to the Museum of The Marine Corps today because they have a 911 section.

A Beam from one of the Trade Centers

I prayed there for a long time. I could here people walking around me but I just kept praying.

A Piece from the Pentagon

Another look at the Beam

If anyone has the opportunity to visit NYC, please make sure you visit the WTC site.  The memorial / reflecting ponds are very moving and a great reminder of those that paid the ultimate sacrifice.  I will NEVER forget my fallen brothers & sisters.
