A twofer

When we become en-trenched in a thinking pattern that mandates "this is the ONLY way" - we really stunt our ability to learn, and to create.

Worthy of its own quote of the day, this made me think of a line from Robert Persig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance; “We take a handful of sand from the endless landscape of awareness around us and call that handful of sand the world.”
"You will thank us for smoking."

Sort of like looking through the cardboard tube that contains toilet paper and thinking that is the view of the world.

Same as people thinking history started the day they were born and they continue through life with that as their prospective.
