I got an email from the fellow who manages my ranch and he advised that we bring Winter Clothing with us and he sent us this picture.

This is one of my neighbors. Mrs. Doe. Her husband is John.

We would not even waste our time on that one. That's a white tail. The Mule Deer are 3 times the size of a White Tail. And, if you are really serious about putting meat on your table then we always have a winter heard of these grazing on the property eating the hay we put out for them. I would say that this heard numbers about 250 with the appropriate distribution of stags to does.

Most of the people who hunt within the Santa Fe National Forest are a bunch of A-Holes. I've already lost 3 head of cattle and 1 horse. Aren't you suppose to verify your target before you pull the trigger? Or, are these people just plain malicious? That's why I will not allow any hunting on my property except for myself. The next thing I will see is mortar rounds going off on my property.

Unfortunately there are just too many irresponsible hunters in the woods.  Hunting is big in my area, and the stories of people shooting at anything that moves is not that uncommon.

Ed that's really a shame. And as pz states it goes on in his area as well, but sadly it goes on EVERYWHERE today. The problem can be explained in two words. No Respect! No respect for the creatures, no respect for the owners, and no respect for the land itself!
