Not sure which is harder, the moving or the settling in...

What a comfortable looking house and neighborhood Mike! I wish you and the family years of contentment there.

Sure is a nice house! It looks like it is in great shape and a very nice neighborhood for you and the kids. Too bad that you couldn't buy this one. Perhaps, some day.

However, for a 71 year old man, it has too much yard work for me with all of those shrubs and lawn. After being raised in New Mexico, you develop a strong appreciation for dirt. The nice thing about dirt is it allows you to spend more time in the mountains fly fishing.

muebe - Taking SWMBO to the airport tonight so she can spend Christmas with daughter & SIL in Rosamond. She'll be on the Antelope Express to Lancaster arriving at 8:45 tomorrow morning - you can meet her there and deliver the invitation to your new digs for some great food as well as the terrific Christmas present you got for me. Just let me know how big a truck the kids will need to haul the present.

Oh yeah, she'll be the gorgeous (but tired) blond who doesn't look old enough to be your mother.

If I was still up there I would gladly take her to breakfast ;)

This will be the first weekend that I am actually home which means opening boxes and moving stuff in from the garage :'(

I am really going to try and cook something this weekend....

So finally got my gas line for my cooking equipment done. There is a 2 inch gas line that appears to have been put in for a pool heater that was never installed. So I tapped into it...

Now I can use my Big Easy, Firepit, and other gas powered cooking equipment ;)

Man, talk about convenient! I bet that saved a lot of work, not to mention a few $$$.
