Got cleared to go fly fishing!
« Reply #-1 on: December 18, 2013, 08:06:43 PM »
Went to the VA today and got cleared to resume as much of a normal life as possible. We were packing and planning on leaving for New Mexico by Saturday morning. However, my wife gives the, I want to be with Danny, our grandson, for Christmas routine. So, it looks like that it will be mid week between Christmas and New Years.

I have really looked forward to this for a very long time. And, I was planning to drive up to Navajo and go fly fishing on the San Juan for a few days. Water temperature coming out below the dam is always 52 to 54 degrees. It is considered Gold Medal Waters. No license required for VOP (Very Old People). Yes!

Then, I am going to take one of the horses and ride around the ranch one day and up into the mountains on another day. There is so much I want to do and I want to do it all at once.

Just for your information, I am going back for another appointment in May to determine when they are going to do the right hip. Sh*t never ends.

The wife and I are also going to give Coyote hunting a try, so we are taking the AR's (223) and the Manlicher if we want to put up an elk. The herd grazes our land down from the mountains all winter until the snow melts in the Spring. When I ride horseback, I always put my lever 45-70 in the scabbard. How I miss this.

This is Gracie. She is more like a house pet instead of horse. I think she is confused.

Taking a walk, when I really could walk.
