Thanks, Don, for reminding me yet again of what a blessing this forum is - not the forum, but all of YOU - to me.
I don't have any close friends who have a desire to cook outside...NONE who take the time to smoke. So...I have no one to share my experiences with other than Deb, and she gets tired of all the talk after a while.
If I do good, y'all gimme the fist pumps I need. When I mess it up, y'all pick me up and encourage me and give me the pointers I need to change the outcome.
Deb doesn't understand why I hover over this computer for so long. She has lots of friends to yammer with - I don't. But I can come in here and get my RDA of fellowship, etc to brighten up my day.
Now that I've retired, I want to reach out to a couple of guys in town who do some serious outdoor cooking. One is a caterer and one is a big event BBQ'er like some of you. I want to take my outdoor cooking to the next level - whatever that is - and be able to use the food to help others. I'm thinking fund raisers, donations of GOOD food, volunteer with local organizations to feed folks.
The dairy farmer put it this way, "all that I have, I owe to udders". I'm glad to be here.
