10-4 Doc! Thanks for the scouting reports. I got Deanie's and Central Grocery and and a couple of others reeling around in my memory banks. And - let's face it- there are SO MANY great places to eat in New Orleans.
I will be in my car - so....can do some driving.

Cooter browns is actually very close to streetcar line .

Right kitty corner from where the car turns right off of St Charles.  Also it's just a little over a 1/2 mile from CB to Jacques Imo's.  Dang, another place I need to eat again.

I guess they've upped their game since the last Krewe meeting. We went there for lunch and were not impressed. We should have known it wasn't going to work out when the crew had a takeout menu from a restaurant down the street next to the cash register. To be fair, they were relatively new to lunch service at the time.

Cooter browns is more of a sports bar / oyster bar.
I've eaten oysters & beer from there not sure I've had other food.

Just had lunch there while watching college football one Saturday afternoon.  Shrimp Po Boy and oysters a couple different ways.
