Pete, I like how you did your drip irrigation system. Will you cover the beds with some type of mulch?
When we lived in NC I had drip irrigation hooked up to a big barrel where I'd catch rain water. I loved it!
Thanks. I used my old lawn sprinkler infrastructure and inserted in-line a 30 psi pressure regulator to comply with drip irrigation standards. Each bed has it's own ball valve. A little more pricy up front but it will last a lot longer. A big barrel to catch the rain would be great ... unfortunately we're in the middle of the worst drought in a 100 years!
I've don't use mulch to cover the beds. I know that it helps prevent weeds and keeps the moisture in but I've just never got around to doing it.
