Title: Ribs cooked the SRG way
Post by: TMB on May 14, 2018, 08:18:43 AM
After the butts for mothers day were finished I tossed on some ribs for the nights dinner.  Total cooking time was 1 hr 23 mins start to finish

I cleaned the ribs and removed the membrane, placed them in a burger basket and cooked for 30 min's naked

After 30 mins I rubbed them and wraped them in HD foil for another 40 mins

After the 40 mins I removed the foil and set them back in for  12 to 13 mins to tighten up the ribs

I sauce them after I remove them because sauce will burn fast in infrared

Thanks Sparky!!   From you that maens a lot.      Wished I had done these instead of the RecTec

Texture is good and very close to low and slow...    Took 4th place in ribs  at a comp out of 19 people  (stick burners, weber Smokey mtn's and BGE's were there cooking against 3 SRG's);););)
