Hi, just joined this site this week. I was always interested in pellet grills and then a few months ago I stumbled across a review that Smokeasaurus did for the Pit Boss 700FB pellet grill on this site and was very impressed with the thoroughness of the review and the pictures he provided. I kept my eye out for for a good deal on one of these 700FB's and found one recently at a good price at Walmart, along with some Competition Blend pellets. I just set it up the other day and am very excited to use it. The instructions aren't so great, but I know I will learn a lot of tips and tricks from the members of this site. I actually went back to Smokeasaurus' review the other day to brush up on some of his tips. For some reason, the pictures are no longer displaying and I get a "hosting" error for each image, but the text is still there to reference. Looking forward to using and contributing to this site! Thanks!

Howdy Donny.
Thank You for the kind words on my review. I try to keep em straight and honest.
Sorry about the pics. Facebook is doing their thing and I am going to have to find another photo hosting site.
The Pit Boss is a solid entry contender. Make sure you clean your firepot after every use. Their competition pellets are great.
Do not worry about the temp swings. The temp swings are programmed in so the PB produces lots of tasty smoke.
When I did the review we were down in Riverside County. Since then The Smoke has moved:

Pellet cooking is fantastic, particularly if you take a little effort to understand the process and grow your cooking skills. Here's a little help for you . . .
