We made it through the hurricane "Nate" in good shape. A few limbs and a lot of leaves... It took me about 3.5 hours to get the grass and leaves cut.
Now the countdown to Jack's "Cookout for Bremer" is on! We are all looking forward to seeing everyone. We are rolling out Thursday early and going to the Aquarium in Atlanta. Then Friday down to Jacks for the weekend.
I am ready to go now!

This shapes up to be the largest cookout you guys have put together...14 or 15 folks coming in...bringing food to cook...bringing stories to tell about their exploits around the fire.
For those of you who are thinking "I really would like to be there" - it's not too late. Go ahead and check your GPS for Byron, GA. Come in on Friday or come in on Saturday...
What a great opportunity to get together with friends from the forum!
Bremer (IR2DUM) is coming in all the way from Houston, TX. You gotta meet this guy...

I would love to come, I hate always saying I can't come. I told my wife back months ago that WE WERE GOING to this one. As fate would have it, she had surgery and is down for the count for a bit longer. We will be there in spirit and hope to be there in person for the next one ;) Y'all will have a good time, I'm sure of it!

As long as no one tells my parole officer I am leaving the state ......I will hide in the back seat of Art's Cowboy Cadillac until we get into GA. I don't think the APB will get there before we do.... 8)

Looks like I'm going to miss this again. Family wedding this weekend. Well, there is always next year (good lord willing, and assuming these dang doctors don't make me quit eating meat!).

No I can't .. When I told Kimmie she was excited about going till she heard the weekend it was on. Next year we will try again.
Have to say this one ios one me because I made the appointment. I figured Monday was best cause I can be at home Sunday getting ready :o ??? :o ???

Don't want to tell you your business, Art, but I'd make sure it was a full-body muzzle and keep an extra roll or three of duct tape for reinforcement. I'd also recommend putting him in the trunk or strapped to the roof rack to avoid damaging your upholstery.

Point taken!! I just happen to have several extra rolls of duct tape. Wish I had some of the special duct tape we used on the submarine. I believe we called it 3000# tape. Also called EB (Electric Boat in New London, CT) green. Pretty tough stuff.

Yeah, I wanted to catch a couple reds to take but the hurricane pushed too much water in and messed that up. I was going to tell Deb how we went to the aquarium just as I was taking the reds out to grill. :D :D :D

OK, it's ON for me. I'm packed and leaving Houston in a few hours. Should be arriving at Jaxon's sometime Friday morning. I can't wait to see all you guys and girls. Everybody have safe travels.
Art and Maureen, be sure to pack in a bunch of air fresheners to neutralize the back seat passenger.

We made it to Byron late last night. Went to the Georgia aquarium last evening then drove on down. The aquarium was great but You city folks can have that traffic!!! I’ll stick to hearing the cows mooing and roosters crowing!!!

Eighth worst traffic congestion in the world..... Average Atlanta commute is 70.8 minutes (each way no less). For me it works out to be about 3 hours per day (AM & PM combined). Even with a company car and gas it still sucks. I get up at 4:30am just to try and get ahead of the morning rush. I think everybody else has the same idea as it keep getting more crowded even at 5:30am. I work four 10 hour days just so I can regain my commute time by not having to travel that 5th day on a 8 hour shift.
