Hi everyone,

I see some familiar names on here from other forums where my username is "Bubba".
Smokin Don pointed me to this forum and I look forward to reading a lot on the interesting topics.
Have been making fresh sausage for a few years, then furthered my experience over time on to brining / smoking ham and smoked sausage.
My first ever learning curve many years ago with a smoker was brining and smoking chicken, and even these days I smoke chicken a lot because it is so easy to do and is highly popular with my friends.
There are also a number of recipes that I will gladly share.

Welcome from Morganton, North Carolina.  Where are you in SC?  Some of us in NC get together periodically and if you are reasonably close we would like you to join us.

Hi Art, I live in Aiken, SC about 2-1/2 to 3 hours drive from Charlotte.
Where in NC do you have the get-togethers?

Hello Bubba! sorry I am late with the welcome, I am not very good at the welcome mat but a lot of the members are real good about greeting new members and making them feel at home. The more the merrier. Thanks again for the great Kassler Ham recipe, delicious! I just had a sandwich from it tonight with mustard and some of my home made kraut!  :P Don

Ron, I was raised in Augusta.  Years ago...25 +...I worked in an office there, in Aiken, on Whiskey Road.
