Title: MRI on the 28th
Post by: TMB on May 27, 2013, 09:32:51 AM
Hey all, been keeping this on the low down till I knew a little more about what was going to happen

On April 15 not only did the Government run over me with taxes, a kid at work ran over me with a Honda Accord.

Yes, he ran me over and he was not even in the car, he left it in drive and got out of the car.   The car needed an Alt and battery so it was running real bad he got out to when I ask him what was wrong.  He said he jumped it off and it runs like crap! I said hook the jump box back up (not realizing the tires were facing me and the car was still in "D") so he hooked the jump box up and next thing I knew I had a 2007 Accord on top of my left leg.

My right knee slammed the ground and neither one has been the same since.  So finally Tuesday I will get an MRI on my right knee to see what's going on.  While the left knee still hurts they will only do one at a time go figure.

So please keep me in your thougths till I hear what's going on.

Thnaks,

Tommy

I'm in the same boat with the taxes Tommy! This whole "Feed the Pig" advertising the government has about saving money makes sense now... They are the pig!

Anyways sorry to hear about you getting run over. Keep us posted.

Thanks guys, bad thing this is the same knee I had worked on las December  :-[

I was hoping I would make it through 2013 without surgery, but looks like I may not. :(

OH well, I have had something done every year since 2006 (2008 being the only one not to have surgery) so why should this year be any different  ??? ??? ???

Tommy,  Look here, it's obvious what the problem is with the doctor only doing one knee at a time.  You have an Auburn graduate for a doctor and they can do only one thing at a time.  :(  I feel for you. Dee

Tommie,
prayers are with you. this sounds like a workman's comp issue so make sure you get everything you are entitled to and they don't lowball or shortchange you on the level of care.

Good luck and a speedy recovery. If there is something there, the MRI will show it. Hope that it is very simple and that you are doing high hurdles again.

Ed

Well, good luck for favorable news.  I know what troublesome knees can do for attitudes at times. Football been very very bad to my knees. Heck, on some days my knees are more accurate than the barometer.

I have been kind of out of pocket and just now saw this. I hope the surgery goes well and you get back to normal, or at least as normal as Tommy can be. If you need anything I am just a couple of hours down the road.

What a bummer Tommy, getting hurt while doing a good deed! Hope all is fixed soon! A girlfriend of my wife's was showing her neighbor how to drive her mower, Lawn tractor, last summer. Well her neighbor ran over her and messed up both ankles. Take care! Don

Tommy, I think what is up there in NA (Northern Alabama) is a bunch of Auburn dropouts, which is rare since the entrance requirement are so low and academic standards are unheard of, who are trying to sabotage you.  Dee

Hey Tommy

I just found your message to me on the Char Broil site. I have been working too many 60-80 hr weeks, so I haven't had much time to real the BBQ site. Give me a call  if you have questions(this is Mike Smith) from the Char Broil site.

I noticed there were very few posts on that site even when I hadn't looked at it in a while. From the monikers and avatars, it looks like everyone moved over here!

Mike

Good Luck with the surgery..I have one scheduled for a week later on the 25th.  They are going to fuse 7 vertebrae in my neck after putting wedges of cadaver bones between them..thinking I should be taller when this is over

This is just the preparation for back surgery 2 months later..after annual opening week pheasant hunt to South Dakota of course..

Tommy,  Look at the doctor's diploma and make sure it ain't from the vet school at Auburn...where they have one of the best bet schools in the county.  Got a great dental school also because they get to practice on the teeth of the Auburn cheerleaders who try grazing on that astroturf at the football field.  Dee
