Ran out of gouda so it was time to smoke some more. Found a ring at a pretty good price.

8 quarters and off to the smoker for some loving

After 1 hour and 40 minutes of hickory. Did I mention I love hickory :P

Yes last year. It is very good but for a wheel that size they wanted 260 bucks so I settled for the 80 dollar cheese.
Here was a half wheel I did last year from the local Thunder Oaks Cheese Farm down the road.

That is expensive cheese. Think I will continue to buy small amounts for home use and smoke a different brand.

I must admit that Gouda is my favorite smoked cheese. We've done many different kinds, but always gravitate to the Gouda. I've never seen Jalapeno Gouda - that sounds absolutely delicious
