Bruschetta

Ms. Hickory took some of my sour dough bread, thin sliced it and lightly toasted.  Then a spread of basil pesto and olive oil topped with provolone cheese and a light melt.  This with a glass of good red wine is outstanding.  No way could I eat just one.

The classic version has a thin slice of tomato included, but we like this version better.
