New member from the central Texas area
« Reply #-1 on: September 24, 2014, 04:29:52 PM »
I'm Teresa and I live in the central Texas area.  I just got my BEESRG last week.  And I've used it twice so far though that is more from a lack of time at the right time.  Some day things are going to settle down, I just know it.

I've been wanting one of these ever since last year.  But I'm the type of person who must research, let it stew in my brain, research again before making the final decision.  Really I wanted crispy turkey skin was the first reason that TBE caught my notice in the first place.  I'm looking forward to crispy chicken skin too now that I've seen so many pictures here in the TBE section.

I went with electric because I'm not comfortable with attaching gas bottles and igniting a flame.  I like the idea of a plug & play version.  And I have, thanks to my sister, been using a small Sunbeam electric grill that she found at Goodwill.  Well she found it for herself but it never left my home.  (What do you mean it wasn't for me?)  Anyway that is a fabulous little grill and I'm so sorry that it appears that Sunbeam doesn't make that anymore.

My first use on the BEESRG took a lot longer than I anticipated.  But with a few tips and reading a lot of posts I'm feeling a bit more comfortable for the next cooking sessions.  I'm somewhat of a nervous cook when trying new things.  And undercooked meat is not something I can handle at all so my second cooking session on the BEESRG went a touch longer than it probably should have.

Anyway I'm happy to have found this site and look forward to getting a better understanding of how to use my BEESRG.  Thanks for letting me join.

Me:  "No ma'am."
Granny:  "I guess I should sell it."
Me:  "I guess so.  Let me know how that works out."
