Hello BBQ lovers!
« Reply #-1 on: October 21, 2014, 10:08:04 PM »
Hello all!

I am the Social Dork for a small start-up foodie company called Dorkfood that specializes in sous vide tech.  Sous vide is a method of cooking that helps to bring food to exact temperature, without overcooking, keeping the food juicier than other methods. The Dorkfood DSV is a plug-n-play device that transforms your favorite kitchen equipment into a sous vide cooker, without the fancy equipment, loss of counter space, or costly investment. Essentially, dinner can be ready when you are when you use sous vide! As an increasingly popular method with top chefs and food hackers alike, the Dorkfood DSV offers the average home cook the ability to sous vide at home without sacrificing quality or flexibility! As an affordable device with fantastic accuracy, the Dorkfood DSV can bring sous vide dishes to your own kitchen.  I will be posting fun recipes that deal with BBQ and sous vide and will also just have fun on the forums in general.

Exciting!

Welcome to the forum Melanie!

I am very familiar with the DSV! I even posted a review on it http://www.letstalkbbq.com/index.php?topic=5621.0

The DSV is a great Sous Vide device. Easy to use with great results. And priced right!

I am a dork and proud ;)

Melanie, Sous-Vide has become quite the topic around here, so we're excited to see you guys from Dorkfood join us on the forum!

I also just recently acquired a Dorkfood DSV and also have another use planned for it (poaching sausages to a finish temperature). Looking forward to seeing your posts. :)
