Shrimp and Fuax Grits
« Reply #-1 on: December 06, 2019, 09:51:56 AM »
Got time last night to make my Shrimp & Grits idea ..       Although no grits were hurt in this recipe!

I used spaghetti squash in place of the grits but was hoping to keep some sort of texture.

I cut the squash very fine and browned it in butter then removed, added 1/2 cup heavy cream and 1/2 cup parmesean cheese and blended together till thickened then add the squash back it to cook a little more before I add the raw shrimp.   Cooked for 8 mins til the shrimp were done then added Tony Chacerer's to finish

It's good, not like real grits but a keeper

Kimmie had this for lunch and said texture was very close to grits so I'm happy with the cook.   Next time I'm going to cut back on the butter, had a little to much for me
