Hello from the suburbs of Chicago!
« Reply #-1 on: April 22, 2013, 10:39:49 AM »
Over the last several years, BBQ has become quite the passion of mine.  I'm currently using 4 different devices to fill this need - Weber Kettle, Weber Gas, Memphis Pro Pellet, & Saffire Kamado.  The Kamado is the latest addition and I'm anxious to start on some flatbread pizzas as the weather warms up.  The Memphis, however, is so versatile that it is my number one go to throughout the year.  In fact, during the summer months the Memphis is our outdoor oven, leaving the one in the kitchen turned off while we try to keep the house cool!

I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's BBQ experiences.

BJ- you have found the "happy place" that all outdoors cooks hope they find.... ;D We have no prejudice. Most of own at least 2 or 3 different kinds of cookers - and recognize thateach is better at certain things than others - or that there are times you just want to cook on something different.
Cooking is not just about facts and statistics. It is about satisfaction on many levels. ;)
BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.
