Greetings from the new guy at GrillGrates
« Reply #-1 on: July 16, 2013, 04:46:08 PM »
Just wanted to introduce myself to the forums. My name is Michael and am the new chef/webmaster/IT Guy.
I wear a lot of hats here at GrillGrates but really enjoy my work. I joined this forum to help people out when they had questions about GrillGrates and their application. I am not here to sell, but merely to help out.
I am also a wealth of information when it comes to all things culinary. I love to butcher, I love to grill, I own a Weber gasser, a Weber kettle and a customized water smoker. I love my Weber kettle and I use lump charcoal exclusively.
I look forward to engaging with everyone here and hope I can help and maybe even learn a few things.

Welcome sir! I have two sets of your great product!

Product suggestion, instead of individual interlocking panels.....how about one continuos panel? My interlocking skills are lacking and would welcome just one panel ;)

The interlocking panels can be a challenge, agreed. I have found with mine that I rarely have to take them apart, only when I do a deep clean in the sink. If you cook enough goodness on them the grease and carbon will eventually bond them together ;)
As far as the cleaning goes, less is more. Routine maintenance during heat up is enough for a few months unless your a sweet and sticky sauce kinda guy.

Welcome from Illinois Mike!
I do not have Grill Grates yet, but getting them is on my short list. I've seen and heard too much to not get them.

Welcome to the Gang Michael!  :) Many of us are big on Infrared cooking and have been for a few years, but your GrillGrates have really kicked it up another notch. I just got my set of Grates two months ago for my BEESR. (they came highly recommended by a nice, knowledgeable guy on the forum named TMB) I'm still in the 'learning curve',  we'll all be anxious to follow your tips, tricks, pics, and cooks.  Don

Welcome from North Carolina.  What Dee said about joining us at the Gathering, X2!!  Last year was my first, but not last, introduction to some really great people.  Being able to put names and faces together makes this site just that much more personable.  Please join us!

Another welcome from Minnesota. I can handle the interlocking... just wish there were a couple other sizes to help me customize to whatever I am trying to work with. But, that won't stop me. I love my GG and will continue to buy & modify as needed.

Cheers,

David
