Smoked Cooper-N-Bacon

Im trying this. A friend of mine made some this way.

Cooper and bacon.

Cube the cooper in 1" cubes. Put in microwave safe bowl for 2 mins, stir and nuke again for 1 min. Continue until melted. Add bacon when all melted.

You did have your molds all lined with clear wrap?

Press melted cooper into molds the best you can. Work fast as it starts to set up fast.

Looks and sounds excellent Rick!

I'm not familiar with cooper cheese, what type of cheese is it?

Thankyou gentlemen! I thought that I knew my cheeses but I'd not heard of cooper before Rick's postings.

Looks pretty yummy!   I haven't heard of Cooper cheese either before now.

What do you do with the little cheesy bacon 'muffins' after they're cooled?  Slice them for sandwiches?  Heat up and use as a chip dip?

Thanks for sharing!

Rick,
What a great way to incorporate "bacon" into a favorite cheese.  I'll be giving this one a try.

Sounds like a killer ingredient for mac-and-cheese

Oh, the usual, kicking BBQ butt and taking names.  :)  It's been awesome working with him (what a wealth of knowledge!) and having him test out some of the goodies I've been doing on my MAK.  Heck of a guy to get feedback from.

pz, good call with mac n cheese, that sounds incredible!
