Who's that guy touching my smoker?!
« Reply #-1 on: December 15, 2013, 04:54:54 AM »

That, ladies and gentlemen, is our friend fishingbouchman. As he already told in another post, he's in Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Some weeks ago, he asked me via PM, if we could meet, because I'm not that far away from Eindhoven.

Of course I would have been happy to meet him and offered him to come over to me and to show him my hometown Nennig, Trier, which is with more than 2000 years the oldest city in Germany, and Saarburg, where I have my office.

Fishingbouchman proposed to to bring me some rubs or BBQ stuff, which is not available here. So, after I had some advice by Sparky, I ordered some stuff at Big Poppa Smokers, where I got a very good offer for the complete rub collection of BPS and Simply Marvelous. Fishingbouchman added some Tatonka Dust and Soileau's. He also surprised me with bringing me the rubs I ordered from Teesquare short time ago - thank you very much, T! And he brought me some bottles of Fat Tire, so now I can cook ribs the real Spaky style. Thanks a lot, fishingbouchman!

I didn't take many pictures of our meeting. Fishingbouchman will surely post some more. But I have one pic with a message from us two to the rest of the forum: PROST! :)

This was a really great day! Fishingbouchman is a very nice guy. I hope, we'll have another opportunity to meet again one day. Would be nice, too, to meet some more of you guys here from LTBBQ.

Now that is really great!  Getting together with "forum friends" in person.  When I travel I like to see if it is possible to do just that.  Always makes for a more interesting trip.
