Because the world needs more cuteness....
« Reply #-1 on: December 16, 2013, 04:59:12 PM »
Here's one of our 11 day old baby bunnies-- they just opened their eyes, so I was letting this little one pal around with me over the weekend.  They do great cuddling up in a hoodie pocket. :)

Here's a little video of him escaping (First time doing a video, hoping it works OK!)

And this little guy is from an earlier batch, they are about 3 1/2 weeks old now.  Both litters were born while it was well below freezing, and both mamas did a great job keeping them all warm in the nest box!

Are they pets…or for food? Legitimate question…..some people raise rabbits for the same reasons others raise chickens….Except you only chocolate -creme filled Cadbury eggs from the rabbits once a year... ;D

Rabbits and I are not friends. They eat my plants that I buy. Might as well plant 10 dollar bills in the ground. And in the winter they use all my planting beds as a giant toilet.

Left them a surprise before the snow fell this year.....

Oh no, they lay quite regularly, believe it or not!   They're real teensy little eggs though, but they lay a lot of them, so it makes up for their minuscule size.  Want me to wrap you up a bunch for Christmas treats?   ;)

I feel for you.... It's my chickens that are the major devastating force behind my gardens being ripped up, but I understand the frustration!   Luckily (?) we have a healthy coyote/cougar population in the area, so there aren't many furry bandits to help the chickens wreaking their havoc on my tender little greens.

I gave my teenager permission to dissuade them from the garden beds with his airsoft pistol last Spring.   The next time I butchered one, sure enough, there were about 4 plastic b.b.s inside the gizzard!  Those beasts will eat anything!

Nice pics and video, even though they can eat some plants I like the little guys! One year I planted green beans, they ate them as fast as they grew! If I raised them for food would have to have some one else clean them. Three years in a row I had litters born in a half whiskey barrel planter I had right outside my back door. Surprisingly I was able to keep my Dalmatian out of them. She always had to sniff the barrel but left them alone! Don

Nope…not even if you dip 'em in chocolate first ;) :D

Oh geez.... I don't think I'd be able to hold it together either!

Stinkin' raccoons!  I have a big baggie of frozen duck and chicken feet in the freezer-- once in awhile the dogs get popsicles!  The dogs didn't seem to quite know what to make of them at first.  I actually used to enjoy eating chicken feet when we went out for Chinese dim sum... but after seeing them walking around in their own muck first hand-- there is no amount of scrubbing that can get that image out of my mind!   :-X
