Title: Reverse Seared Beef Tenderloins on the GMG
Post by: zueth on February 16, 2021, 12:43:36 AM
Picked up 2 beef tenderloins on sale for 9.99 a lb so decided to smoke them on the GMG and then sear on SRG. They turned out really good smoked them for about 1 hr @ 180.
Pulled off the GMG

That looks excellent, zueth, but they don't look like any beef tenderloin I've ever seen.  In my experience untrimmed beef tenderloins are about 10 pounds.

Untrimmed in cryovac.

After trimming they are somewhat smaller, but still much. bigger than those you pictured.

One trimmed, one in progress.

Are yours one tenderloin cut in half?
